Default Assassin Skill

I had 2 ideas for a skill for assasins,
1. A skill that for a limited amount of time supresses the aggro circle for your char to 1/2 to 1/3 its normal size.

2. Also for a limit amount of time allows your assassin to dissaper from visual on screen and also from the mini-map as a red dot (enemy).

The assassin is suppose to be a silent killer, there should be a skill or some skills that allow them to just dissaper. The warping skills are great, but not the core of the character class, get in, kill, get out, and none knows you were there.
Now I understand that there would have to be limitations on a skill like this, but some limiting attack capability should be allowed, after all it is the point of the skill.

The 2 skills are very close to the same, skill #1 is more of a PvE skill and #2 is more of a PvP skill, but 2 variations of the same thing

Any feedback guys?

1. Its called a bow, you use it to pull things. never failed for me.

2. try recall or aura of displacement, you might like those.

1) Decreasing the aggro circle is new. And how does a bow do that??

Hmm... Let's play around with a couple of variations of both skills:

Mirage - 10 Energy, 1 Casting, 45 Recharge

- For 6...12 Seconds, you become difficult to see, and your aggrovation circle decreases by 20...50%. Mirage ends if you attack, or use a skill.

Vanish - 10 Energy, 1 Casting, 45 Recharge {elite}

- For 3...8 Seconds, you vanish into thin air and cannot be the target of any attack or skill. This effect ends if you deal damage.

1) Been suggested before. Problem is, the skill would do literally nothing in PvP. All skills must have both a PvP and PvE application.

All these would do is make it easier for runners to run.

I disagree with the runners getting a free ride, true it would aid them, but thats not say the skills have to exsist as I wrote them, they are open to variation. The point is assassin are suppose to be silent killers, never seen. I'm sure if enough though was put into it a skill could be designed for both PvP and PvE. I think its a valid idea, just need a proper application.
Maybe a skill that favors the shadows, for PvP the skill could still make it difficult to visually see your enemy, whether its a mob or another player is irrevelent.

Um....the so call assassin is just hire guns, what give you the idea they are silent killer??
Silent killer is sniper, which we dont have.
I personaly dont think we need any of those you said, as other mellee class(aka warrior) a mellee assassin can carry a longbow with them, and no red dot is just way too evil...I can use a mo/a use that kind of skill and became the most annoying healer in the pvp. In a 12vs12 red dot is all you can count on in knowing your surounding.

so.../unsign
but I would like to be retarget for bothside when I use shadow step skills.
Come on~ I just go puff, they need sometime to look for me again dont they?? Ya I just feel guilty for bringing aoe back to my casters, pluse I get yell at.

Ok just a quick question, what do you think a sniper is? sniping is a method to accomplish an assassination.

And again guys, read, I didn't say the skill had to exist as i posted it, its the concept I'm trying to get a feel for, the skill could be alot more restricted than as i wrote it, or a different desgin altogether.

And your mo/a can't do that, any spell or skill cancels the backstab skill. I am starting to see this more of an attack skill more than a concealment skill.

The attack goes like this, char is 35% to 50% concealed then char proceeds to target to perform the back stab attack for +18 damage, another +8 in target is suffering from condition, once attack is performed char is revealed. Skill cannot be used on targets within your aggro circle.

You shares possible skills, many people have, and you either get flames or words of advice. Not sure if any skills ever suggested in this whole forum was ever implemented into the game, but only the skills we have now were made by creators of the game themself.

Assassins are just to fragile as they are right now, regardless of if you are playing them properly or not, they're still to fragile. They could use some skills to vanish from the screen or actually ellude mobs.

But no signing till I see some examples

yes, sniping is "just" a method to accomplish an assassination
so is assassin= silent killer?? method have nothing to do with class.

and where is the back stab idea in your OP??
All I see is a skill that will hide our red dot!!

Now lets look into back stab. Can your assassin be target when he/she is hiding?? if yes, then this skill is useless if not, well I know another online game have something similar to what you said, its call "RO". Lets see if we can adept that into GW

GVG
Team A warrior: Charge!!
Team A warrior: ?? where is our enemies, I only see 2 monk standing there
Team A someother guy: It might be a trap, hold your ground
Team A monk: iiiwwww(dead by back stab spike)
*all the Team B assassins pop up and lounch a suprice attack
-end
Sound fun.
I am not saying its not tactical, suprice attack is a tactic, but its over powered, for this to work A-Net need to inplain a counter skill that force assassin to show themselves, and god...we only have 8 skills, I realy dont want to bring a skill just for assassin
